Biblical Bush

The Bush Theatre is celebrating its move to a new venue with an event of Biblical proportions.

Sixty Six Books marks the 400th anniversary of the King James’ Bible with a
fresh look at our favourite tales from the Testaments.

Among the writers taking part are Billy Bragg, Carol Anne Duffy, Sir Tim Rice and the
Archbishop of Canterbury, Rowan Williams, who is better-known for his controversial religious views than his playwriting skills.

The 24 hour pass, priced at a hefty £80, is likely to appeal only to the most dedicated
theatre-goers, though this does include refreshments and a goodie bag.

The show, which also features three and six hour performances for those of shorter attention
span, runs from October 14-28 at the Bush Theatre’s new home, the Shepherd’s
Bush library in Uxbridge Road.
