Stonehenge Fire Garden

Balls of flame, burning coals and lanterns made out of vests transformed Stonehenge into a Fire Garden glowing against the backdrop of the evening sky.

French outdoor alchemists Compagnie Carabosse created the installation with cascades of candles, pots of fire and mechanical figures casting their shadows against the standing stones.

The Stonehenge Fire Garden was organised by Salisbury International Arts Festival as part of the London 2012 programme of nationwide arts events centred around the Olympic games.
