Natural Circuits

Twitter poetry, laser-cut trees and talking T-shirts all play a part in Natural Circuits at the Barbican, an event which showcases the combined forces of nature and human creativity.

Writer Claire Collison will be running a series of Tweet poetry writing sessions, which take their inspiration from the interplay between natural and digital worlds. The results will be displayed as a Twitter feed around the foyer.

Black Country Atelier presents a landscape of laser-cut trees, to be decorated with 3D woodland creatures and flowers created by visitors over the weekend.

Mini recording devices will be embedded into T-shirts with the help of MZTek’s Beatbox T, controlled at the touch of a button, creating the surreal impression of clothes that can talk.

Throughout the weekend of 3 and 4 November at the Barbican
