Poems and Pigs
Poetry and pig roast were on the menu at a book launch and social evening hosted by Wild Culture at the Table Cafe in Southwark.
Robert Priest, who has worked as a writer-performer for Sesame Street, has written no less than 16 books, including How to Swallow a Pig – hence the pork-based theme. At the tail-end of his UK tour, Robert, who is based in Canada, read a selection of poems including The Water Traders’ Dream. His new book for children is called Rosa Rose and Other Poems, and his latest adult collection is entitled Previously Feared Darkness.
