Orchids at Kew

Enjoy an array of orchids in the tropical splendour of the Princess of Wales Conservatory at Kew.  Image

In this rainforest environment, where the temperature never drops below 21°C , colourful floral displays are set against a backdrop of luxuriant green foliage.

This year’s festival features cascades of Vanda orchids, drapes of tropical flowers and a rainforest camp, complete with a floating canoe, overflowing with plants.

If you’d like to take a little bit of the orchids’ glamour home with you, plants of the limited edition Diamond Sky variety are on sale in the Victoria plaza shop during the festival.

All the usual attractions of Kew Gardens, including the first buds of spring, are on view, with entry to the Orchids display included in the general entry ticket price.
